Trees are spiritual beings who connect the sky to the earth. Shamans often climb them to journey to the upper world. Through their roots, they send nutrients to ailing trees in their presence. In Ireland, trees which are inhabited by tree fairies are protected by the people in their midst, as they have come to recognize their power. My series “the secret life of trees” focuses on the unique presence of trees. These images are created out of motion in and around trees, seeking a oneness with the soul of trees.
