Javier Valenzuela

This painting was inspired by all the immigrant women I have seen working traditional male jobs during this pandemic.  I have witnessed some of them digging and others putting up drywall.  The world had to stop but they couldn’t afford to, they have no one to fall back on.  They show a certain strength that not everybody can see.  The natural things surrounding her in my painting represent how, just like Mother Nature, they gave us life but we have not managed to take care of it.
